I love to read. Reading- As cheesy as it sounds- takes me into different worlds. It answers the questions, What if? It shows that there are more possibilities than you think, and it’s an escape from reality. Because I love to read, One day I discovered that I also love writing. Writing had a similar meaning for me as reading; it allowed me to look into different worlds, to explore new possibilities, to be someone else.

She reads books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live.

When I was young, I loved Harry Potter. I thought all the characters were amazing and unique. And as I grew older, I still believed that; however, I realized that some characters didn’t get the attention they deserve. So, I dug deeper and, since writing had been my passion for a long time, I wrote each character’s backstory. 

I explored each character, and I really tried to figure out how they were. Was Luna always so carefree and unique? I asked myself. What if she was just like every other girl, fragile and insecure? Was Hermione always such an amazing student? What if she was completely different?

Obviously, I was both excited and nervous about publishing this story. What if there are typos? What if no one reads it? To add to the excitement, I was to publish it on my birthday! I’m turning 12, my last year before becoming a teenager! I really hope you enjoy learning about Hermione, Ron, Luna, Ginny, and Neville as people by themselves, and not just as “Harry Potter’s Friends”. So don’t think of it as another Harry Potter book- Think of it as an exploration into the lives of the unknown.
